Mining creates new blocks, confirms operations and helps the network remain independent. For this contribution, miners receive OPST rewards. The more independent miners and nodes there are, the stronger Opstan decentralization becomes.
There are two ways to mine Opstan. Compare them and choose the one that suits you.
Combine your computing power with other miners and search for blocks together. When the pool finds a block, the reward is distributed according to the pool rules and each miner’s contribution.
Receive smaller, but more regular payouts.
Connect to the pool and start mining right away.
Pools usually charge a small percentage for their service.
Mine independently without joining a pool. If your node finds a block, you receive the entire block reward.
Receive 100% of the reward for a block you find.
Rewards may be rare, but every block you find pays the full reward.
A fully synchronized node with a stable network connection is required.
The block reward is defined by consensus rules. The first phases produce the main emission, and after them the network moves to a permanent reward of 1 OPST per block.
