Download and open the Opstan desktop application. Solo mining requires a full local node, because the blockchain and mining engine run on your computer.
Mine directly with your own full node. This mode is more independent, but rewards are less frequent than in a pool.
Solo mining means your node searches for blocks independently. If it finds a valid block and the network accepts it into the main chain, the reward appears in your balance and becomes spendable after maturity.

Before mining, wait until the node is connected and fully synchronized with the network. If synchronization is not finished, mining and transactions may work incorrectly.
In the desktop application, open the mining section and select Solo mining. Check that your wallet address is correct, because the reward will be sent to that address.
Start with a small number of threads, for example 3–4, and watch CPU temperature and system load. Increase power only if the computer remains stable.

Even after you find a block, another node or pool may find one at almost the same time. A short branch race then begins, and the network keeps the chain that gains the next block first and becomes stronger. This is normal P2P behavior, so a found block does not always remain in the main chain.

It becomes spendable only after that period. This protects the network from short forks and is standard behavior for PoW blockchains.
Solo mining gives you full independence, but results depend on computing power, synchronization, network connectivity, and competition with other miners. For more regular smaller payouts, use pool mining.
